What do you get when you cross the games of badminton, ping pong and tennis? It's one of the fastest growing games in the country - Pickleball!

This is a game which is "easier on the body and the joints". Both the paddle and ball are light, therefore there are fewer impact or elbow injuries.

The game of Pickleball involves an underhand serve and limited running, making this an ideal sport for the "mature" person. Played with an oversized paddle, one can become a "Wimbledon Wonder" without too much effort!

From September to June, Pickleball at NGCC takes place every Monday and Friday from 11:30 am until 4 pm (open to all levels), and Tues/Wed/Thurs from 8 am - 4 pm (8 am - 10:30 am Gold Level, 10:30 am - 1 pm Silver level and 1 pm - 4 pm Bronze level) in the gym at the Norberry site on Molgat Avenue. Players have the option of paying a $4 drop-in fee or a $45 quarterly fee ( Jan-March, April-June, July-Sept, Oct-Dec). In July and August, we are open from 8 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday, with the usual times for different levels.

New people are always welcome and we provide paddles to borrow for those just wanting to try it out. The purpose of this program is to promote fun and socialization, along with friendly recreational (and sometimes competitive) games of Pickleball.
