With the entire province still RED on the Pandemic Response System, Norberry-Glenlee CC will continue to be closed for most activities until further notice.  We will update everyone as restrictions are clarified and activities re-start.

UPDATE - FEBRUARY 26 - We will work to try and keep the ODR's open as long as we can, so that may mean keeping off them until they can be flooded later in the day.  PLEASE respect the "RINKS CLOSED" signs and stay off them if the signs are up!

PLEASE NOTE that from 8-9 pm weeknights and Saturday mornings, there are scheduled practices on the rink between the WJSF and the old hall at the Glenlee site on Worthington.  Coaches must clear everyone off the ice except for their rostered players, so please change rinks when they arrive.

Our gym is available to rent for ONE ON ONE training only.  Cost is $40 + GST per hour. Please contact Carmelle vis email to arrange a rental.

SUMMER SPORTS REGISTRATION - We are waiting for word on whether or not we can plan a spring/summer sports season, so keep an eye out here and our Registration page for more details.

PLEASE remember to follow the protocols below - if you arrive and the rinks are full of people, DO NOT join in, as you could receive a fine!

Our plan is to have the lights on at the Glenlee site until 8 pm each day, and 10 pm at the Norberry site.  We do have video surveillance at both sites, so if we see that protocols are not being followed, the lights will be turned off.  Not having the buildings open will be new to us, so we will monitor things and make changes if necessary.

Here is the protocol information that has to be followed - PLEASE READ this over and ensure that you are following these protocols so that everyone can continue to enjoy the rinks!  PARENTS - please make sure your children understand the rules as well if they are going to the rink on their own.

Outdoor ice rinks can open, and individuals or families can go skating.  However, people engaged in the activity must maintain a separation of at least two meters from others, unless they are from the same household.  In addition, people must not engage in activities as part of a group of more than five people (that is closer than a 2 meter distance), unless they all reside in the same household.  At this time, organized practices, games or outdoor sporting competitions of any kind are not permitted.

Municipalities or organizations that operate outdoor rinks are to take reasonable steps to ensure that people using the facility are aware of the requirements of the current public health orders relating to the rinks, including by posting proper signage and/or a social media and website communication strategy that includes the safe use of the outdoor rink.  Municipalities and organizations must ensure that dressing rooms, warming shacks and other outdoor facilities associated with outdoor sporting or recreational activities are closed while the orders are in effect.
